Yes, I've been using Process Lasso for a while now, mainly to optimize my gaming performance. By assigning specific applications to different logical cores, I've noticed a significant improvement in hit registration and overall FPS stability. Core 0 no longer gets overloaded, leading to smoother gameplay and better responsiveness.

That's an impressive setup you've got there! The Threadripper Pro 5965WX combined with the ASUS motherboard and the G.Skill Trident Z Royal Series RAM is definitely a powerhouse combination for video editing and server tasks. And with liquid cooling, you're not only ensuring optimal performance but also keeping things running smoothly and quietly. Looking forward to seeing the results of your fresh install and the incredible projects you'll be able to tackle with this setup!

If Process Lasso's affinity settings are causing persistent issues, you might explore alternative methods to manage process priority. Windows Task Manager offers some basic process priority control.
By systematically trying these steps, you should be able to narrow down the cause of the BSODs and find a solution that allows you to use Process Lasso effectively with Firefox and HWInfo.

QuoteProcess Lasso v14.0 adds Named CPU Affinities, a feature that will help with navigating the CPU affinity submenus.

Release announcement: https://bitsum.com/product-update/process-lasso-14-0-named-cpu-affinities/ fnf

I just read this news. Even though I'm not super familiar with CPU affinity settings, this sounds like a user-friendly improvement. Will this make it easier to optimize performance for different applications?

I tested Process Lasso for a bit to see if it could improve my gaming performance. My system has a traditional CPU architecture Intel without separate P-cores and E-cores. I didn't see any significant changes in frame rates or overall performance.

Windows doesn't provide a built-in way to directly set default priority connections unlimited or affinity settings for all processes, including child processes, without using third-party tools or writing custom scripts.

It's great to read these testimonials, and we love ProBalance too!

We don't have specific tuning tips for ProBalance since any good idea gets baked into the algorithm. However, it's certainly possible that some users can tweak it to better match their systems and usage, and if anyone has tips, we'd love to hear them.

Thank you for sharing!

I can't explain why the CPU affinity change is causing that effect but can say it's unusual.

You should run extended stress tests on this system to ensure hardware setting integrity.

Beyond that, the problem is likely related to some device driver. BSODs only originate from kernel mode code, so that's almost a given.

However, we just don't know. If you discover any clues, we'd love to hear it.
