Stop a process when Gaming mode starts

Hi, my first post but I've been using the Pro version for a while. Thanks its great software.

Is there a way to stop a process when Gaming mode starts?

As of right now, no there isn't but your request has been asked for before , so maybe in future versions .

You can not presently do that, but I will see if I can create a new watchdog rule in the near future to allow it.

Being able to toggle whether to restart the process when exiting game mode might be helpful also.  :)

You could try Splat (an advanced tool to automate a batch of tasks) for now. You may have to run it as admin to stop services/processes.

I actually have already written the code to do this, in use by another company. I have license to use that code, or I could rewrite it. There were user education problems (what services to stop, what processes to terminate) when you take it to the general public. It's limited to advanced users for sure.

That said, I will get this in ASAP. I have a plan, it's just marching towards that goal. And that plan does include this capacity.

I could immediately add a watchdog rule, one that could even launch Splat or AutoHotKey to do some automated chore, and may do that as a stop-gap.
